What does it
cost to demolish
a building?
When calculating the cost of a demolition project, we have to consider many factors before reaching a tender price. Different types of buildings require different methods of demolition and this, in turn, effects the cost to demolish.
-
What factors effect the price of a demolition project?Overall, our duty of care to the public and our operators on site is the most important factor to consider when pricing any project. A project can be more expensive if specialist work is required such as removing harmful materials like asbestos, working from small or restricted areas that are difficult to access with large machinery, or working from great height or depth. Generally, the 5 factors that effect price are: The type of building or structure The safety and size of the project If there are hazardous materials Site location and access restrictions The amount of salvageable materials

What do quotations for demolition projects include? When we provide a free quote for new demolition projects, we ensure everything is covered. This means we will need to arrange to visit the site and assess what's involved in the safe dismantling, demolishing and recycling of the project. Our quotations are based on: Dismantling and demolition Recycling of materials: scrap metal, wood, brick Concrete crushing Labour Specialist requirements such as asbestos removal Working to deadlines Supply of risk assessments and method statements
-
How long does it take to demolish a building?Depending on size and complexity it can take anything from 1 day to 3 months for us to complete a project. As well as the demolition of the building, a considerable proportion of the project is spent removing waste materials, recycling materials and clearing the site to ensure we always leave it in a clean and tidy state.
